BEHIND THE BRAND

Welcome to La’Fleur!

Hi, I'm Tierra R. Jeter, founder of LaFleur Coffee Boutique. As a wife, mom, and dedicated advocate for millennial women of color, I took the leap into full-time entrepreneurship 4 years ago to follow my developing passion for coffee culture. Growing up, the aroma of coffee brewing in our family home always drew me in, sparking a lifelong love affair with coffee. From late-night study sessions in college to juggling the demands of motherhood and a career, besides my faith, coffee has been my constant companion, providing energy and comfort when I needed it most.

My journey led me to local coffee shops, where I realized the need for representation in the coffee industry. Inspired by this vision, I launched LaFleur Coffee Boutique, aiming to become a representation for women of color in the industry while offering a luxury coffee experience from bean to brew. Join me as I share my love for coffee, while empowering others to pursue their dreams!

Name Origin:

La’Fleur, meaning “flower” in French, symbolizes growth—a fitting reflection of both personal evolution and cultural resilience. The French language holds deep roots in Louisiana, especially among descendants of Africa and the Caribbean. It was in this rich Creole culture that Rose Nicaud, the first Black woman known to sell coffee in the U.S., made history. Operating a coffee stand in the French Quarter, she used her earnings to purchase her freedom and laid the groundwork for generations of Black entrepreneurship.

For three years, my blog Blossoming Unlimited inspired millennial women to embrace their growth journeys. La’Fleur Coffee Boutique continues that legacy by bridging history, heritage, and personal empowerment through coffee. I’m committed to creating elevated, hand-crafted coffee experiences that empower millennial women of color and honor the roots from which we bloom. Join us in redefining coffee culture and spreading positive energy, one sip at a time. Enjoy!
